2026 Mock NFL Draft

Ah yes, it is that magical time of the year, when hope springs eternal and every team believes that they have the plan to either change the direction of their team or continue their upward ascent. Without further ado I will now dip my toe in the proverbial prognostication game and give you what I think the team will choose and what I would do in that situation.

1. Oakland Raiders:

Fernando Mendoza, QB - Indiana

Who I Would Pick: Mendoza

The Raiders need a long term quarterback and when you have the top pick, you solve that by taking the top guy at the position. They signed Kirk Cousins to mentor the kid, so he can ease into the position so in theory they have a plan in place that should work.

2. New York Jets:

Arvell Reese, Edge - Ohio St.

Who I would Pick: Reese

Reese of all the edge rushers is the most versatile and the Jets need a little but of everything so getting the guy who can rush the quarterback, stop the run, and even drop into coverage. I mean this team didn't get a single interception last year so getting a guy who can speed up opposing qbs or even drop back and maybe pick off a screen pass could help save Aaron Glenn's job.

3. Arizona Cardinals:

Francis Mauigoa, OT - Miami

Who I Would Pick: Sonny Styles, LB - Ohio St.

The Cardinals need a little bit of everything and in these cases teams typically tend to build from the trenches. Mauigoa is the best of the tackles and would be a great pick, I would go with Styles because he can literally do everything from tackle, cover, and everything in between. He and Budda Baker on the same field could cause many nightmares.

4. Tennessee Titans:

David Bailey, Edge - Texas Tech

Who I would Pick: Jeremiyah Love, RB - Notre Dame

Robert Saleh is an elite defensive coach so makes sense that the second best edge rusher would be a great fit and something the Titans need. I like the idea of pairing Cam Ward with the most explosive player in the draft just too enticing.

5. New York Giants:

Sonny Styles, LB - Ohio St.

Who I Would Pick: Caleb Downs, S - Ohio St.

As I said previously, if Styles is here you take him. However in the event he is not available, I think you go with the adult in the room of this draft Caleb Downs. Since he was a freshman he has been the most prepared person. He makes no mistakes and his true value is that he is a floor raiser. He will be a starter from day one and immediately improve your defense.

6. Cleveland Browns:

Carnell Tate, WR - Ohio St.

Who I Would Pick: Tate

The Browns may not know what they have in terms of quarterback, however you can not go into the season with Harold Fannin as your primary target of Shedeur Sanders. Jerry Jeudy has mental lapses and can't seem to be trusted so getting Tate who while he may not be a Jamar Chase level prospect is someone who could be a pro bowl receiver for a long time.

7. Washington Commanders:

Jeremiyah Love, RB - Notre Dame

Who I Would Pick: Love

If Jayden Daniels stays healthy, then you absolutely pair him with Jeremiyah Love. The RPO game with these two would cause nightmares. Throw in Terry McLaurin on the outside and you may be cooking with gas baby.

8. New Orleans Saints:

Jordyn Tyson, WR - Arizona St.

Who I Would Pick: Tyson

The Saints appear to have a quarterback that may work for them, the offensive line is promising, and while you have Chris Olave he is known to have injury issues you can kind of gamble and take Tyson, who also has injury concerns but is younger and has shown himself to be a possible DaVante Adams level wideout.

9. Kansas City Chiefs:

Mansoor Delane, CB- LSU

Who I Would Pick: Delane

The Chiefs traded away Trent McDuffie so getting Steve Spagnulo the best corner in the draft is a no brainer. Delane can easily step in and be a starter from day one. No need to over complicate it

10. New York Giants:

Spencer Fano, OT- Utah

Who I would Pick: Fano

The Giants need to shore up their offensive line. They have a quarterback and running back who have to be protected from themselves. They both lead with their heads and frankly giving them as much time as possible to brace for impact may be the only way to extend their careers. Fano can play anywhere on the line and shown himself to be starter capable at all of those spots.

Chicago Bears Prediction:

Pick 25-

Caleb Lomu, OT- Utah

Who I would Pick: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S -Toledo

I think if Kadyn Proctor was available I would lean that way, however the best tackle at this spot is Lomu from Utah. I would not be upset with this as Ozzy Trapilo is going to be out for the season but I have trust in our staff and would go with the safety from Toledo. He reminds me of Nick Emmanworri and pairing him with Cobe Bryant? Chef's kiss.

There we have it, while I know that as soon as I hit post on this there will undoubtedly be trades that renders all of these predictions moot I am excited nonetheless. Especially seeing what my Chicago Bears will do but for the first time in a long time I am confident in our direction going forward.
